Kuukauden vapaaehtoinen: Andrew Chan
Seura palkitsee tänä vuonna kuukausittain kuukauden vapaaehtoisen, joka on tehnyt pyyteettömästi töitä seuran eteen. Vapaaehtoiset ovat merkittävässä ja ratkaisevassa osassa, jotta seuran toiminnot pyörivät parhaalla mahdollisella tavalla. Kiitos kaikille vapaaehtoisille tekemästänne tärkeästä työstä seuran ja pelaajien eteen.
Heinäkuun kuukauden vapaaehtoisena palkitaan Andrew Chan. Andrew on toiminut pitkään P2014 akatemian valmentajana. Hän on aina paikalla kun tarvitaan, ottaa vastuuta ja auttaa kentällä. Kiitos Andrew!
Kysyimme Andrewilta, missä kaikessa hän on ollut mukana seurassa ja mikä vapaaehtoisena toimimisessa on parasta, lue vastaus alta:
”Oma poikani on aloittanut 5-vuotiaana EBK:ssa ja hänestä on nyt kasvanut reipas ja terve nuori poika EBK:ssa. Lähes alusta lähtien olen ollut P14 apuvalmentajana noin 6 vuotta ja nykyään toimin pelkästään huoltajana. Parasta vapaaehtoisena on se, että joukkueessamme vanhemmat ovat hyvin aktiivisia, pääsemme tekemään joukkueen/poikien eteen jotain yhdessä. On ollut kiva seurata, miten pojat kehittyvät ja kasvavat. Isona bonuksena tästä, olen saanut tätä kautta paljon hyviä ystäviä.”
Kuukauden vapaaehtoinen palkitaan lounaskupongilla Fudis Houseen, onnittelut vielä kerran Andrew!
Volunteer of the Month: Andrew Chan
This year, the club will reward a Volunteer of the Month: someone who has selflessly contributed to the club’s activities. Volunteers play a significant role in ensuring that everything in the club runs smoothly. Thank you to all our volunteers for the important work you do for the club and our players.
Volunteer of the month of July is Andrew Chan. Andrew has been coach on the boys 2014 academy team for a long time. He’s always present, takes responsibility and helps on the field. Thanks Andrew!
We asked Andrew about the different roles he has had at the club and what he enjoys most about being a volunteer. Read his answer below:
“My own son joined EBK when he was five years old, and he has now grown into a confident and healthy young man at EBK. Almost from the very beginning, I was involved as an assistant coach for the P14 team for about six years, and nowadays I serve solely as the team guardian.
The best part of being a volunteer is that the parents in our team are very active, and we get to work together for the benefit of the team and the boys. It has been great to watch the boys develop and grow over the years. As a big bonus, I have also made many good friends through this experience.”
The volunteer of the month will be rewarded with a lunch voucher to Fudis House, congratulations again Andrew!
